Another RECORD Breaking Year!

After all the numbers have been crunched, and totals are in, we are pleased to announce that our auction, Rock the Houses, raised over $86,000 on Saturday at The Children's Museum of Memphis. We could not be more EXCITED and PROUD of what this group of women can accomplish when they put their hearts and souls into making this event so VERY successful. To our auction committee, your time and effort have been INVALUABLE, and this proves it takes a village to raise this much money! Thank you to everyone who donated, attended, volunteered their time, ran around town to get donations, and gave so generously of their money for such a great cause!!! We are so excited to give big checks to Ronald McDonald House of Memphis and FedExFamilyHouse this May!! Again Congratulations on making this event the most successful in FEPWA history!

FEPWA Volunteers at RMH Parents Night In

We helped make heart-shaped pizzas, crafted, painted, played, told and learned LOTS of jokes, made new friends and chased/snuggled busy toddlers. The highlight of the night was playing with one of our littlest pals from November who has made HUGE progress in his treatment. Please join us next time, it’s the most rewarding and enjoyable way to volunteer your time.

GHSTV Inspiring Leaders Program highlights FEPWA's two big charities

Recently our President, Amber Abney, had the opportunity to go on a local television program called Inspiring Leaders through GHSTV, representing our organization and to highlight our big auction coming up. Sandra Lewis with FedExFamilyHouse and Malayna McGhee with Ronald McDonald House of Memphis joined her to talk about these two fabulous houses!!

Decorating for the Holidays at FedExFamilyHouse and the Ronald McDonald House

The FedEx Pilots' Wives recently brought a little Christmas Cheer to the families spending the holidays at the FedExFamilyHouse. The members completely transformed both buildings by decorating 15 trees, wreaths, and stockings on each family's door, poinsettias on each table, garland on the staircases and a wreath and stockings on the fireplace. They placed a full-size sleigh in the lobby that they filled with toys the children can choose from. Their donations all funded the exterior lighting of both buildings in the holiday spirit. The parents are so happy to be able to give their children a little bit of the holiday season when they are so far from home.

The Ronald McDonald House does things a little different, and many companies from around the city sponsor one of the dozens of trees at the House. Each year, some of our FEPWA members decorate the tree that is found in the room sponsored by FEPWA, the Teenagers room.

MISSION OF FEPWA

To serve each other through charity, community and personal growth.

FEPWA is a social and charitable organization that supports the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis (RMH) at St. Jude’s and FedExFamilyHouse (FEFH) at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.

FEPWA provides monthly activities to build friendships and support for women who share a similar, challenging lifestyle. There are fun social activities as well as opportunities to serve our community through our charity work.

Along with friendships forged, we take great pride in having raised over $460,000 for our charities to date!!! FEPWA is open to all FedEx pilot’s wives, female FedEx pilots, retired FedEx pilot’s wives and widows of FedEx pilots. We look forward to meeting you!

We also like to have some fun while working hard for our charities. Annual activities include luncheons, hub tours, decorating The Ronald McDonald House of Memphis for Halloween, decorating the FedExFamilyHouse for Christmas, our Christmas luncheon, and couples’ gatherings.
